We were never meant to last, just meant to be together to try to make it last.
As I am writing this down, I look back on how it all started, the story of you and me and all the things we did try (and did not try, because we need not put an effort as everything happened naturally) to make this a hell of relationship. A chapter in our lives we’ll both cherish, an episode that whenever we come across we’ll say, I am better today because I’ve been with best, at least to me. I can say Honey was the best I ever had, but Baby you’re the greatest. You will always be, no matter what. I will not think about why we did not have that happy ending, all the pain I’m going through at the moment, cannot replace that once upon a time, I had that happiness and love, all I felt when I was with you. We can both move forward, but I will by no means let go of the memories we two shared.
I’m not over, I don’t want to be. I’ll love you from afar; I’ll love you without asking for your love in return, I’ll love you until I’m out of love to give. And you don’t have to say something, or be pleased or be distressed, no anything. I just want to see you happy, genuinely happy. So I will be too.
I love you still.
